Clearly I wasn't meant for fancy things

My little 2010 Nissan Versa is at the auto body shop getting some love. However, since their Enterprise rental thing on site wasn't a full Enterprise location, I had a limited selection of cars to choose from. I emphasized "small" but they didn't have a car my size. So of the three cars to pick from, this is what I got

It's a 2017 Infiniti Q50, 3.0T AWD. It has all kinds of bells and whistles that I'm clueless about. Now the size is a little bigger but since you can actually electronically adjust the seat up as well as forward, it's kind to those of us that are short. But I haaaaad to go looking at what this fancy schmancy thing costs.

And it seems to be NEARLY FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS *WHEEEEZE*. I'm nervous as hell with this! It's so shiny and upscale and so not me. lol

Fortunately JuneBug was a good girl on her luxury ride to the vet. The vet has taken blood for testing and also gave her a B-12 shot which I hope helps her diarrhea. Then again, if it does help, that may mean regular shots. Oy vey. She also gained more weight which baffles me. She doesn't necessarily look any bigger and you can't feel any masses so maybe the malabsorption of food is showing itself in a different way with gain instead of loss. If the B-12 works, that also likely means she's just an IBD kitty and we'll have to try stuff to see what works. If anyone on the f-list has had a kitty like this and can offer any advice, I'd appreciate it.

I shall take them and return when needed!

I'm getting used to the car but I don't think I could own one even if I won the lottery. It's sooo expensive

And imagine how much it would cost to fix something on it. It's crazy!

Being able to electronically adjust the seat up is a really nice feature. One of the reasons I bought my second hand Corolla is that the seat can be raised by pumping a lever.

I hope poor JuneBug gets everything straightened out soon.

Another feature I am very much loving is the back-up camera. Since it's a bigger car and I need to park on the street for work in lined spots, that's going to help a LOT.

Thanks, I hope so too. Reading about Feline IBS/IBD, it can be one of those elusive disorders that you get a handle on before you don't have a handle all of a sudden. Sounds like she's definitely in the French family! We're wonky!

I have IBS and it can be hard to figure out in people too. I find a flare is helped by following the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and dry Toast). I know cats are obligatory vegetarians, but you might want to ask your vet if mixing cooked rice into her food would be safe. I've heard of that being done, but definitely ask the vet first.

Poor Junie! I hope the doc has some answers soon. We're all pulling for her, and her mom <3

That is some car there! Wow.

Sending good thoughts for June-bug and you. IBD is not something we've had experience in w. the cats. A lot of other medical issues but not this. 20 year old cat had loose stool that was gradual as he declined but nothing showed up on tests to treat.
