Kittygirl update

JuneBug's lungs and heart sound ok to the vet. Her intestines sound gurgly but considering she has IBS issues (that are improving over the last few months), that's not surprising. He had thought about running blood tests "just in case" but since she just had those a few months ago and there was nothing there, I didn't think there would be anything out of the ordinary this time either.

His thought about the fainting is that it may have been a random vagus nerve issue from the retching she was trying to do just before along with being somewhat anxious because Emily had just arrived. So for now, it's a "wait and see" and if she faints again, we should get an echo to make sure she has no heart issues.

He didn't recommend getting her yearly shots just yet until there's no issues for a while so today was one expensive mani-pedi. lol
Oh she did lose some weight but I didn't worry about that because last time she seemed oddly heavy and today she was back down to what she'd been for a long while.

As long as she seems ok for a couple more hours and there aren't any kitty spats (that darned "vet smell"), I'll go get a haircut this afternoon back to my short pixie.

Wait and see seems like a practical choice. I hope she gets better soon.

Good luck with the hair cut. I get my pixie next week.

She had another incident of trying to vomit but not bringing anything up. Fortunately she stayed conscious.

I am shorn and feeling MUCHO better. Hair is annoying

I'm glad she was deemed somewhat okay by the vet. And I hope she feels better soon, the poor baby!

Checking in on JuneBug, I hope she's somewhat better w. less of the puke-y stuff.

And you have the hair cut I read, good. Isn't it something how losing that hair boosts us? I'm due this wk (due last wk but doh) and ready for the lighter, less hair time.

I've been reluctant to update much more since she seems to be doing better (aside from her every-few-day poosplosions). I didn't want to jinx things. Both kitties are eating well so HOPEFULLY they're both over whatever crud they had.

Oh, I know! Seems like if I say something at times it does jinx it. I do hope they're both doing better and will remain doing better. You're on top of taking care of them but it'd be easier on them and you if they could be better.

While I was looking to buy more of the fortiflora bc it seems to help Miss Prissy's appetite I remembered I used an OTC liquid when Lewis G had horrible diarrhea. I would not recommend it bc his last year was watery poops bc his digestive system was worn out (he was 20). The supplement did make his poop less watery but it was goopy and would get on his fur and we had to bathe him... he put up w. it and was a champ bc he knew he needed help w. cleaning but it put him through a lot. One time I ran out and realized he could poop w.out it getting on him, plus I wasn't having to stick the syringe in his mouth to get the medicine down. *facepalm I realized I only made it worse in some ways trying to slow it down bc it was messy and awful for him and us. The last few months he'd poop on the linoleum and I could clean it up easier than trying to scoop in the boxes - and Lewis didn't get litter stuck to his feet. He'd go pee in the boxes fine, but his once a day poop was by the breakfast table and I was fine w. that as it was not on the carpet.
