Dine's Food Diary - Day 2

Brewing some coffee in my office and waiting for the AC to get this place to a reasonable temperature. They have the heat roaring out in the external areas and since I'm in an internal office, it's a furnace in here so my only way to cool it down is to go out and around to the main area and put on the AC. I've got it down from over 81F to about 78F right now. And if they turn off the AC, I will go out and turn it back on. Yesterday I stupidly let them turn it off and my little fan did squat to keep me cool.

Anyhoo - to yesterday's fudz.

Yesterday morning weigh in - 198.5

Breakfast - I slice Panera whole grain toast with reduced sugar blueberry preserves (Trader Joes and delicious!), two scrambled eggs with spinach and a little goat cheese. Coffee with half and half and 1.5 splenda. I only finished half the coffee.

Mid morning snack - homemade cranberry orange bread and orange spice tea with a packet of granulated honey

Day two I was tempted by Emily to go out to lunch and we went to Lox, Stock and Deli. I resisted getting one of their huuuuge sandwiches and opted for something more healthy.
Salad bar (lettuce, tomato, peppers, garbanzo beans, beets, baby corn and cole slaw. No dressing since the slaw was dressing enough), diet root beer and while at the deli, you MUST have a pickle from the bowl. Main dish was grilled chicken and sesame green beans (sorry for the blurry pic). Only ate half the green beans since they were a bit too crunchy. I don't mind some bite to my veggies but they were a little too undercooked.

Dinner - pan seared salmon (about 4oz, part of it I put away for later since the 6oz piece was too huge) with salt and fresh squeezed lime juice. My oven roasted veggies that you'll be seeing a LOT of this week (brussels, mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, orange pepper, shallots).

Dessert - a dark Ferrero Rocher chocolate and a glass of 1% milk

Oh that chicken and green beans looks SO! GOOD!!

Those dark Ferreros are the bessstttttttt. Good on you for only eating ONE omg I need three at a time, at least o_O

The green beans could have been SO much better - there was so much potential. I think I may have to make some soon since the idea of "sesame green beans" was so much better than the execution. The chicken was darned good, though.

I keep only finding the dark chocolate ones in mix packaged with regular and those white chocolate coconut things. So I'm savoring them sloooowly. That and I was feeling bleh last night (effin' hormones) so while I had a NEED for chocolate, I couldn't eat too much.

Bleh--I agree you can definitely do it better at home.

Good job on the self restraint! Scott and I ate those 120 mini bars in 3 days o_O
