Gettin' stuff done

I've had two coffees and still tired. Yep, it's Monday. I was feeling off for most of the weekend. Headache, queasy, stuffy. I'm feeling a bit better now with the exception of a lingering headache but I also had choppy sleep last night so that could be the cause. It didn't help that a guy from facilities came to install a whiteboard at 8am with a power drill. The coworker who griped to the guy last week, saying he wouldn't return wasn't even here when it was being loudly installed and since the guy was gone before she arrived, she hasn't even NOTICED that it's up. But she did point out to us that we didn't notice that she colored her hair (hell, I didn't even look at her when she came in so how would I notice? Oh and why would I care?)

I did manage to get some things done this weekend, at least. One thing that was fun was shopping for and wrapping the gift for the secret Santa that's tomorrow. I kind of suck at crafts but I think I did ok

I've always wanted to give a gift like you see in the movies with the lid you can just pull off. After wrapping the gift, I had to put it out in the outer hallway because JuneBug was entirely too interested in the tassles on the side. I brought the gift to work so that I wouldn't accidentially forget it tomorrow.

Ok, back to work. I have an annoying yearly report that I need to go spelunking in databases and thinking and stuff to do for it. Blecch.

Aww it's so nice ^_^ And I agree I've always wanted to give a gift like that! Very 'the movies' indeed ^_^

"You didn't notice my hair."

*LOL* ...okay... o_O She is so weird *lol*.

Good luck with the report!

It's been 24 hours and she STILL hasn't noticed the whiteboard. LOLL

Thanks! Next time I might spend the extra cash for the more sturdy box, though. I had to use a good amount of tape to make sure it could hold everything I put in it

I did one of these this weekend, too, but it wasn't as nice as this.

It took me a good amount of time but since it was the only gift I was doing, I wanted it to look good. Thanks!

That's a nice looking box. And reusable too ;)

It's not as sturdy as it might look since I went the budget route on the box itself but I hope it has the effect of impressing the gal I got it for!

*imagines flatmates "investigating" the box, claws unsheathed*

My flatmates are of the kitty purrsuasion and have all of their respective claws in working order against the complex's rules. They're trying to get me to declaw my furred managers but I'm currently refusing (the eldest is getting too old for that sh!t and the other two have medical reasons not to put them through elective surgeries except for spay/neuter.)

I wish that the PtBs would undergo the human equivalent of declawing before giving me the fooking ultimatum.

That’s disgusting that they want you to mutilate your kitties for their convenience. They are working here to make it illegal and I hope the legislation passes

I wish that they would make it illegal to do that here in Wisconsin, but if wishes were fishes, the beggar would eat. The PtBs forget that if a cat loses its first line of defense claws, s/he'll resort to their secondary defense teeth, and the bite is far worse than the claws more pathogens.

Anyway, my flatmates don't go outside of the apartment. The same cannot be said concerning the dogs, and at least two dogs aren't restrained by their owners.
