Tell me about one memorable meal

Oh I love this! I'd love to hear all of your stories and would love you to share it so I can read other people's. The responses are great

My answer to it - and goodness knows I can come up with many - was remembering 2004 in London. I had tea at the Savoy with my parents. Mom had always wanted to go to the UK and finally I talked them into going. Even 15 years later we talk about that trip.

So nice ^_^

Mine was when I broke up with a guy on Feb. 13th. We had a honeymoon suite booked in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for ten days. I ended up taking my mom and we had the best time ^_^ My birthday is on Feb 18th...and the staff there all fell in love with me (and my mom!) and I ended up getting THREE surprise birthday cakes ^_^

So my favourite meal was with my mom in Jamaica, and it was birthday cake and rum XD

I honestly still feel guilty about how it all happened, though, and I'd like to pay that guy back :\ It would be about 3K, I think.

Even if you can't pay it back, is he worth looking up to apologize for how things ended?

One of my most memorable meals was an eight course wonder that we had at the restaurant at the Nankai South Tower Hotel in Osaka. We never did really figure out most of what we had that evening because the waiters didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese. It was fabulous, though. I especially liked the trout soup

Oooo! That's one of those times where you just have to throw caution to the wind and eat what you're given. I mean when in Osaka, right? SO cool.

The first time I went to a Korean restaurant with a friend, I was overwhelmed by all of the little plates of odd looking stuff they put out.

It was our last night. We had a mess of money left over, so we decided to go for it. It was so great, but afterwards, we were still hungry!

BTW, feel free to share any variation of this on your timeline since your journal is active. I'd love to read the answers. <3
